I feel like this is an important video to make based on some of the other things I've talked about this week and some other videos that I've done.

But this is a little bit of a brutal truth in some ways, but I think this is very important to talk about.

And that brutal truth is that nobody is interested

in seeing your photographs.

Nobody cares about the work that you're doing

as a photographer.

This is what I heard from a friend of mine. A couple

of years ago when we got together in New York City for dinner and it really made me feel kind of bad to hear

him say this because this is a guy who when I first met him he literally had a camera in one hand and some film in the other and what do I do and over the years and we kept up

He had made some really amazing strides, particularly impressive to me because this is somebody who started photography as an adult

and was really producing some interesting work. And so I said, well, you know, you know, I have friends on social media. Have you thought about sharing the stuff online or maybe building a website?

And he said, no, he said he had read somewhere and he said, I really kind of believe it.

I really just have no interest in that because the truth is, nobody cares about my work.

Nobody cares about your work. Nobody cares about my work nobody cares about

anybody's work and I thought wow that's really a dark way of putting it now I think

you could take that a step further even and you could say you know the world really doesn't need any more

photographers we have plenty they're who are over saturated we don't need any more

photographers we don't need any more musicians we don't need any more actors we don't need

any more writers we certainly don't need any more actors. We don't need any more

films produced. We are oversaturated. There's too much stuff out there as it is.

And I don't think this is necessarily a bitter truth, but I think it's a bitter default. The world does need work that
