Summary

Tom Haberstroh, Amin Elhassan and producer Anthony Mayes can't believe the NBA changed the schedule for the Finals without explanation. Giannis' self diagnosis on his calf injury was truly innovative, sending the Bucks season into a tailspin, but Doc Rivers made sure to be explicitly clear about one thing in particular. Truth Teller Tippernaught Sports, lip reader extraordinaire, joins the program to take us behind the scenes of his process, his dedication to accuracy and what NBA moments catch his eye the most. Subscribe to the Illuminati YouTube Channel Basketball Illuminati is now part of the Count The Dings Network. Join the Count The Dings Patreon to support the show, get ad free episodes and exclusive content at https://www.patreon.com/countthedings ILLUMINATI MERCH HAS RETURNED - Check it out here: https://bit.ly/CTDMERCH Follow Basketball Illuminati! So for years, I'm going to go back to at least the first year of the return to the

22-1-1-1 format of the NBA Finals.

0:53.7

I can recite to you what day each game of the finals is. Game 1 is Thursday. Game 2 is Sunday. Game 3 is Wednesday. Game 4 is Friday. Game 5 is Monday. Game 6 is Thursday. Game 7 is Sunday. Three years. It's been like that. I think 2014 finals was the first year of the 22-1-1-1, the departure from the 232.

1:14.3

That's been the schedule.

1:15.5

We get this long break between game one and game two.

1:18.5

And it's designed that way because they want to start on a Thursday, but they want to
