Summary

For KQED's annual Youth Takeover project, we hand the mic over to four Bay Area high school students who have been keeping audio diaries while under stay-at-home orders. Without the structure of school, their lives have been turned upside down and many of the high school traditions they've looked forward to for years — prom, yearbook signing, graduation — are cancelled. 0:35.8	But for students, it's completely turned their world upside down.

0:47.4	senior year like? Well I went to high school in San Francisco so you know it was probably
0:52.2	kind of foggy but in addition to that
0:54.6	you know I was like studying for AP tests I was the captain of my swim team so I was like
1:01.4	finishing out the swim season I mean it was like going team so I was like finishing out the swim season I was like going to
1:04.0	prom I was signing yearbooks all the you know standard senior affair yeah
1:08.8	although this year it's just really not standard for anybody because all the high school students are stuck at home
1:16.0	and they're not doing any of that stuff.
1:18.3	So I've actually been in touch with four students throughout the Bay Area,
1:22.6	and their lives do not look like typical teenagers right now.
