And I looked at the crisis on the streets, and I thought to myself, I want a city that you see out there doing the work.

I want a city that feels incredibly responsive to the most urgent challenges that we're facing.

And I just didn't see that from my city government.

And so I thought, let me go out there.

This city has a lot of power.

We have the power to regulate rents. We have the power to build more housing. We have the power to be active and proactive on the

issue of homelessness. And we're not using those powers. So I went out there and I said, okay,

I'm going to run for office.

And I am here with the heart and soul of my council district, CD4, with council member Nithia Rahman, who was the first Asian-American woman and first South Asian ever to serve on the L.A. City Council and who's now been elected twice, re-elected in 2024, and she represents Silver Lake, Los Felis, Hollywood Hills, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Van Eyes, Reseda, and Studio City.

And it's worth noting that her district, it's not only important to me, but this

very historic district, Hollywood Bowl, the Ford Theater,

by the way, in my opinion, the most underrated venue in Los Angeles,

beautiful, intimate, charming.

Edendale, which is not on many maps, but is actually the original Hollywood,

Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood sign, Ventura Boulevard, Rancho Los

Encinos.
