The city of LA wanted to tear them down.

But the neighbors and the residents were like, no, this is art.

This is an amazing installation.

This is beauty.

And the city, you know, sometimes has their own volition, own intentions.

And they had a crane.

They had a truck that they tied to these things.

And they said, if this can't withstand

a certain amount of pressure, I want to say it was 10,000 pounds of pressure pulling, that

we're going to have to destroy them.
