And that looks to be a explanation for what we're about to explore,

which is a contest between Somalia, Somalia land, Ethiopia,

Sudan, now in civil war, and Egypt, a power center for the whole region, but especially

critical now given the Middle East conflagrations and the Hamas nightmare along the Egyptian

border. Ronan, a very good day to you. We begin with the explanation of the Nile, the blue and

white Nile, and the presumption of Egypt and Sudan that the water was always going to be theirs

in an agreement that was worked out in the middle of the 20th century. There's a challenge to that

from the region. So let's name some players here. Ethiopia has a grand Ethiopian Renaissance dam, Gerd. Egypt has the

Eswan Dam. The whole region depends upon the Nile for water for its products, especially Sudan and

South Sudan, which are now in civil war. Egypt wants to maintain status quo ante.

Ethiopia does not.

However, I get lost now where the contest resides.
