July 1, 2021, truly signals a watershed day for college athletes. Now every NCAA athlete can profit off their name, image and likeness, as the NCAA officially pushed through a temporary rule that enables all schools to determine (unless their state laws mandate otherwise) how student-athletes can legally make money while still in college.
