Welcome back to the CBS Sports Ion College basketball podcast where we sometimes discuss

Kamil fighting, go to birds and Leaky Black Matt Norlander is here with me.

And as previously noted, at least once a week in advance of the 2021 NBA draft schedule

for July 29th, we're going to be dedicating an episode of the Ion College basketball podcast

to a notable prospect.

Same way we did in advance of last year's NBA draft, we started the series little more

than a month ago with a 22 minute profile of Kate Cunningham.

Follow that with 22 minutes on Evan Mowgli, then 25 minutes on Jalen Sugs, then 22 minutes

on Jalen Green, then 25 minutes on Jonathan Kaminga.

And today we turn our attention to another guaranteed lottery pick, 4 or 5 star prospect,

Scottie Barnes.

He's a 6 foot 9, 227 pound forward from West Palm Beach, Florida, a 19 year old with a 7 foot

2 wingspan, who with the high school and Fort Lauderdale for three years, then finished

at Montvert Academy in Montvert Lauderdale, which is more or less suburban Orlando.

He was ranked seventh in the class of 2020 according to 24 seven sports had offers from Duke,

Kentucky, but he ultimately picked Florida State where he averaged 10.3 points, 4.1 assist,

and 4.0 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game while mostly coming off the bench this past season,

I'll help in the seminal's or a four seed in the NCAA tournament.

Nearly everybody has Scottie Barnes somewhere in the top 10.

I've seen him as high as third overall.
