I'm talking about the classic, legendary L.A. street shoe, the Nike Cortez versus the just as classic, just as legendary.

Frankly, the shoes I wear pretty much every day, the

Vans checkerboard, also origin story in Southern California, and so true to Los Angeles.

This is a good one.

I've done episodes on both of these shoes, and people come out and they're like, yo, I've

been wearing these forever.

I love these, blah, blah, blah.

We're talking decades of each shoe,

not just represent Los Angeles,

but worldwide phenomenons that somehow,

as fashion trends are cyclical and all this stuff,

both of these shoes have not only remained relevant,

but are perhaps

more relevant and widespread than ever decades after their release. So this is an exciting one,
