britt how are you good i'm so good how are you well excellent life is'm so good. How are you, Bill?

Excellent. Life is good. I just told you earlier. It's been a great day.

I got up, got a bunch of things done work-wise. I still have more things to do, but I feel like I made a lot of progress today.

God, I'm glad. I, the only thing, I don't have anything new in my life, the only thing I have to add before we start today is, I wouldn't say maybe a retraction, but I learned something from some listeners who commented on one of the episodes that we did.

We did an episode a couple weeks ago on Maslow's hierarchy and that before he died, he was working on this concept of self-transcendence.

That didn't kind of make it to the pyramid.

And I had some people reach out to me, and I learned some stuff that I just wanted to share since we did an episode on it.

And Maslow, before he wrote his paper on his hierarchy of needs, he spent six weeks with the six sicka people,

Blackfeet. And it was really interesting that he was learning from this indigenous community.

And essentially from his journals, he was talking about how he estimated that 80 to 90% of the Blackfoot tribe

had a quality of self-esteem that was only found in 5% of his own population.

And so he was noticing that this communal way of life and how they structured their society

actually really supported self-actualization.

And that he essentially thought,

how do I get this into Western society? And that's when he kind of created like, all right,

we're going to have to have this first, then this, then this, then this, and then he, you know,
