The Welcome to another edition of Nightmarefews and Peepers. I'm Dan Cummins, and I will be sharing

another original short story of the fictional horror variety. We return to the Dark World for the third and final episode in this sequence.

Here's a brief recap of this story so far.

Sam I. Al Orcas has killed several people in the Portland, Oregon area over roughly the past year

and cut out their eyes and tongues.

And he's been killing elsewhere for a total of three decades.

We don't know the exact details of his origin, but it seems as if he was literally born in the

dark world.

And then, known growing up as Zachary Knox, he was raised in a series of foster homes in Alabama

by scared foster parents who learned he could make them see terrible, horrible things, what they feared most.

That he spoke with things that no one else could see, was obsessed with visions of dark tunnels and creatures inside of them,

that he killed at least a few pets and a girl when he was 16.

Lizzie Chavez, Nightmare Fuel's premier monster hunter,

initially found out about Sam and some true crime chat rooms

and began speaking with a homicide detective in Portland she had worked with before,

Ray Salazar.

And then after Sam I.L. murdered a local pretentious music critic named Trevor Yates,

who had given his band a negative review,

yet another murder where the victim's eyes and tongue had been removed, and a murder the police

couldn't solve because Sam can leave others' fingerprints and DNA behind it as crime scenes.

Lizzie has decided to fly to Portland and work with Ray to stop Sam. She just doesn't know how to do that yet.
