One of the most important values of rugby is ethos and its value of

respect.

It's a matter where you're from what the color of your skin is your religious

belief is your sexual orientation there is a place for you within the rugby

family. This is not soccer is that clear back you go get on to the game and that's why

rugby means a lot to me. There is no doubt that, you know, I probably wouldn't

have able to be who I am today and being myself if it wasn't for the great sport that rugby

is.

When I was too... great sport that rugby is.

When I was 24, 25 years of age, I was suffering from mental health issues, very depressed in a very, very dark place, fighting against my sexuality, becoming somebody I didn't want to be.

Balemic, I thought there's only one way out now.

And that is to end my life.

And that's when my moment, the moment my life changed in accepting who I was. Until you accept there is something that you need to address in your life?

Then you're not going to get out of that.

You're not going to do something about it.

I accept that now that I, who I was. Rugby has treated me just as anybody else. It hasn't treated me just as anybody else.

It hasn't treated me any differently. I owe more to my family and friends and the sport of rugby than they or

rugby will ever ever go to me. The I'm going to do. So, This week on the show we have Nigel Owens who is an international rugby referee.

and he's a really fascinating guy.
