Nicholas Winding Refn is best known

for his Pusher Trilogy, which are incredible films.

And his newest film was about to get a release

is an amazing film, Bronson.

His new film, which has just been picked up

by IFC, Valhalla Rising.

That's a mouthful for me. Nicholas,

say hello. Good to have you here. Thank you very much. One of the things I want to ask you about

with Bronson, first of all, so tell the audience a little bit what they're going to see, what the

movie's about. In England, they have a person called Michael Peterson, who did a post-robbery actually when he was 17 and landed in prison and he actually liked it

and they didn't want to get out and then when they actually got him out after many many years he

changed his name to charles bronson and became a bare knuckle fighter and then he got back into prison

and then he stayed in solitude ever since one of the things that's kind of fascinating about the

movie is compared to the pusher trilogy or your new Valhalla Rising, this is the only character who really seems

to be self-aware.

I mean, in the other films, people are commenting on the, on the protagonist.

But here, he has a real sense of who he is.
