From time to time, we like to have a history lesson here on the On the Tape podcast.

So if you indulge me, Dan and Danny, for just a minute, I promise, I'm going to take us down memory lane.

Wolves were the bane of the existence in the 19th century out west.

As a matter of fact, the U.S. government paid ranchers and farmers to eradicate to kill the wolves.

As late as the 1960s these were going on,

the problem is history is littered with disastrous outcome born of good intentions. And you know what we learned, wolves are a natural part of the ecosystem. We need wolves to be in Yellowstone

because certain things thrive when they're there,

somewhat counterintuitive. Why do I bring that up? Same thing happened with forest fires.

The U.S. Forestry Service was born out of the great Pestigo fire in Wisconsin. By the way,

I did get my ass kicked in Wisconsin once for you movie fans out there.

And they decided that, you know what, we can eradicate forest fires.

And by doing so, they were successful.

What they learned is forest fires are a natural part of the cycle and the environment.

You need old trees to burn down for new trees to grow. Now, I'm sure you're

asking yourself, why the F is guy bringing this up? Well, right before our very eyes, Danny Moses

and Dan Nathan, we're seeing a disastrous outcome born of good intentions. And that disastrous

outcome is inflation out of control, fueled by a Federal Reserve that has been

extraordinarily accommodate of Danny Moses for the last 13 years.

Taper has effectively ended.

It has ended.

I think we'll get the official word from the Fed when they come out next Wednesday.

So the Fed no longer has your back.
