When the Iraq War was over, like once you got the ceasefire, you got some sleep.

Not long after you redeploy, come home, right?

Yeah, we redeploy, came back to Fort Bragg.

It was the first time we had been in a major war since Vietnam.

And so it felt great to have done what we've done. Very proud. But it was a very

stark contrast to how America treated Vietnam vets when they came. And I think we learned as a country

from those mistakes, and that's why we reversed it. I finished my three years at Fort Bragg.

I only had three year listment.

I got out and went to college.
