The day of the ground war was Sunday, every 24th.

The first Gulf War, right?

As soon as Don hit, we crossed the border, and it was an amazing, amazing experience

where MLRS rockets were shooting,

across the sky, helicopters going forward.

We were in the middle of the largest air assault.

I kept on doing that for three days straight.

I struggled with it at first because, you know, growing up a Catholic, I was an altar boy.

And I knew every time we stopped shooting, it means the target was destroyed.

It was wartime. I still had that guilt.

I stopped feeling the guilt after we hit Kuwait City and we found out the atrocities that Iraqi Army had done on the civilians.

At what point did that stop and how did it kind of closed shop after?

It was actually more than three days. It was over a hundred hours.

Talked about Dan Kinshaw when he first ran, I was, I was backing him up.

You know, it's a combat vet, he lost his eye for our country,

you mean, he's a war hero.

And then things changed, and I see the different changes that happened.

Like, maybe he's not really buying for us.
