This is Penn State running back Nicholas Singleton.

I think he's a highly athletic receiving back.

He's got the five-star pedigree.

He did not do a whole lot with it at Penn State.

I really did not like the rushing

film, but there is a receiving potential here with Nick Singleton. So you mentioned that he didn't

do a whole lot with it. I think we could argue that he had two good seasons and two off seasons.

And one of his best seasons was his freshman year with a Nittany Lions lines 156 carries over a thousand yards 12

scores and you had some receiving work with another touchdown on top of that then 2023

was down then 24 back to being good almost 1100 yards another 12 touchdowns and five more

receiving scores then he closes out by by getting lat by his rushing mate and

Ketron Allen during his final year. Does that sync with what you saw here at Penn State

in 2025 where I think Singleton was kind of like this off and on player a little bit?

Yeah, well, he has the athletic traits to take at the distance, but when he's not doing that,

he gets hit behind the line because I just don't think that he has the vision. He just plays the game a tad late, which is unfortunate because he really has juice when he takes off in a straight line. He just was always late to the party, and I should not trust his vision. And neither did Penn State. A lot of the carries they would give him would be like stretch plays to the outside.

They like mix him in like on a wildcat. They'd be getting like pony personnel plays to him.

So it was like very streamlined for him. And that was as a senior who's played a lot of football. So I think just the the short of it is they just did not trust him to read things out as a rusher.

And for that reason, I think I largely graded him as a receiving back.

Yeah, he was a former five star recruit.

So again, got a lot of reps early on, just kind of faded.

I thought as the, you know, career went along.

And as you said, arm tackle stood him up.
