Come for his QB ranking that was blasted as “delusional” by some Cowboys bloggers, stay for an in depth QB conversation then leave once Dan starts waxing poetic about the Allman Brothers. Welcome back. It's the big blue banter. New York Giants football podcast. I'm Dan Schneier.

0:07.2

Join as always my co-ist Nick Falado. It's been a while since we came to you and recorded.

I've been away. I had a nice vacation, probably my longest and best vacation, Nick, of not only my

0:17.3

lifetime, but probably the last 10 years. It's funny, Nick. I went to Hawaii to celebrate my brother and his wife, Kara, getting married. I officiated the marriage. That was pretty well. It went really well. So I was, to be fair, I like wrote it down in a notebook and I read from the notebook. I wasn't going to memorize that whole thing. And they read their vows as well from a book. So it's just too hard to memorize stuff and you're going to miss stuff. But I did get in a couple jokes that people loved, which was key, two good jokes, but it was mostly heartfelt. There will be, because obviously my mom is my mom, you know her a little bit like she's not accept so this wedding it was

0:54.9

just my family and her family so that at the wedding it was just like nine total people my mom's

1:01.1

not going to accept that so she we're having a celebration for them in july where there will be like

1:06.3

125 people so that's when the best man speech will come to play with all the jokes just you know you know, roasting Matt Schneier and all of that. I'm sure he's going to listen today and hear that and be excited for that. But it was amazing, dude. They got married on the third hall at Monakia golf course, which is a par three over water over the ocean. Really the most beautiful setting I can even imagine for a wedding. I also played that course, Nick. It was by far the hardest course I've ever played in my life. But it's funny because we had seven days there. And we went in, Nick, like me and my parents, my brother with its expectation, like, all right, we're going to explore the islands. We're going to like hike and stuff. And like, ultimately we ended up just playing golf, tennis, and beach every single day. And then going out to dinner. It's just like every day because we just love that as a family. We love being active and golfing and beach and all that. So it was a great time, man. And the good news for me is I finally managed to get Tanner than you on this trip. Yes, I am tanner than you.

2:01.4

You're not a lighting trick. It is such a reality of the situation at this point.

2:07.1

Absolutely not. Dude, I walk outside in the sun and I'm automatically just, just insanely tan.

2:13.9

You do look good though, man. You do look good. Thank you. Thank you. It's a nice base. It's the 25% of Greek or whatever it is that you have been here. Yes, 25% Greek. Thank God that 23 and me was a life-saving, you know, revelation. I got 75, I thought I was 99 to 100% Ashkenazi. And luckily, luckily somewhere in there is 25% Greek. So that was a good revelation for me, at least. That's good, man. Yeah, we're doing well over here. Just staying busy. Staying busy in the slow part of the year. That is early June. We could have done a podcast on OTAs. And Dan and I were looking at it. We're like, we could briefly mention some things, but there really is not a lot of substance there.

2:53.3

And as a lot of listeners of this podcast know, a lot of the content surrounding the OTAs, people reaching for things and trying to talk about stuff that might be absolutely irrelevant in a month.

3:03.7

And Dan and I chose not to do that and do something a little bit more fun.

3:06.5

Yeah, we did something a lot more fun, I think, than just saying, I'm Jackson Dart got some reps and Jackson Dartner's doing. He got a first team rep and threw a touchdown with Jalen Hyatt. Like I saw that video. I was like, this is like, everyone's like, look at this play. I was like, eh, it's kind of just like a 15-yard throw into the back of the end zone against, you know,

3:25.3

padless practices and no hitting. But great, great. I'm happy you got a first team rep, but we're not going to do that. Today what we're going to do is also one cool, funny thing from OTAs is Tommy DeVito throwing four touch or would have been four touchdowns on four total throws. I call that. one of the undrafted guys i don don't remember who dropped one of the fourth touchdown. That is a, that is a big D moment from Tom. DeVito, heating up, baby. DeVito is eating up, trying to, you know, win that third quarterback. It's unbelievable. I mean, quarterbacks have from last year where it felt like they had none, but we'll talk about all that throughout the year. What we're going to do on this pod today is something we've done over the past at least one year, but probably two years. And it's evaluating Nick Falado. Every year, Nick Falado does a ranking of the NFC East offenses position by position. So he does has a point system, which I'll allow you to go over in a second. And, you know, it's very, very scientific.

4:15.5

You really grind the data.

4:22.9

You've, you've, I think you actually had to get a degree to do this to actually create these rankings of the NFC's position by position. But all jokes aside, what I like about these rankings, Nick, is that it gives us some kind of frame of reference for are the Giants closing the talent cap in the NFC East? And where do the Giants fit in a lot of these position

4:34.9

groups? But according, you know, apparently Nick, not everybody likes your scientific

4:40.2

ranking process. We have a Cowboys blogger. I'll give him a shout out here. Jason,

4:47.0

or Josh Sanchez, who called your rankings delusional.

4:51.1

Delusional rankings.

4:52.1

I will make you defend, Nick, you're delusional, quote-unquote rankings of the NFCE position groups.

4:57.7

And I think his main beef, Nick, had to do with how you rank the quarterback position.
