In the heart of the Amazon, alternative medicine healing ceremonies can produce baffling

and sometimes miraculous results, even for skeptics like me.

Allison and I got a hearty dose of mocho and we spent two weeks in plant medicine ceremonies

last year down in Peru.

And on this week's show, our guest will change the way you think about plants.

Nick Polisi is the director of the documentary The Sacred Science.

His work explores holistic alternatives to conventional medicine.

The Sacred Science follows a group of terminally ill patients searching for healing deep in

the Amazon jungle.

Before we get there, I'd like to share a few success stories that just came in.
