You may have come across my guest for today because of his world famous 2010

TED Talk which was titled The Happy Planet Index.

An approach that basically says,

we can be happier, not only live longer,

and we can do this not at the expense of the planet.

Definitely worth you seeing it because it has been viewed by more than two and a half million people.

Nick is a statistician, but as many describe him as a statistician with a soul because he uses his statistical

skills as well as his soft people skills to focus on quantifying things that normally

are harder to quantify such as the topic of happiness.

He founded and he is the CEO of a company called Friday which measures and improves employee

happiness in order to help businesses

build a positive, productive work culture and the result of that of him working

with more than a thousand clients is that he helping them create a measurement of their

employees happiness and hopefully improve the employees experience at work.

He's been in the field of happiness for more than 25 years, tracking people's quality of life with an emphasis on their emotional experience.

And in 2011, Nick Marks was named one of the top 10 original thinker by Directors magazine and one of the seven most powerful ideas by Forbes magazine.
