Hey, welcome in Capitals fans to the Capitalist Face Off podcast by CSN.

I am your Capitalist correspondent, JJ Regan.

Normally, this would be the point where I would introduce Tark L. Bashir, the Capitalist Insider,

and make some sort of snide remark about how he is my backup or my assistant, but not today.

This is the trade deadline, and so it calls for a very special podcast.

Tark, Alan May, Chick Hernandez, and I were on Facebook Live earlier, recording a video,

breaking down the moves the Caps made at the trade deadline, mostly Kevin Chatt and Kirk,

and taking a look around the NHL to see what else was going on,

and try to break down where the

caps stand now heading into the playoffs the stretch run of the regular season and try to evaluate

did they win the trade are they better off now are they the front runners for the cup just try to

break down all the information you need to know with the trade deadline,

now come and gone. So we're going to share that with you. It's a little different format today,

but hope you guys enjoy it.

Kevin Chatton Kirk, the fenceman from St. Louis, along with the goalie,

Phoenix Copely, and in exchange, they send Zach Sanford and Brad Ballone and a first-round
