So American football, which is also known as gridiron football,

is an American sport that evolved from rugby and soccer.

So the first football game was played on November 6th of 1869

between Rutgers and Princeton Universities.

So at the time, there were 25 players on each team,

and they used a round ball that couldn't be picked up or carried, much like soccer, but it could
