Welcome back to the Adam Schaefter podcast as we get ready for week three of the NFL season.

We thought it couldn't get much wilder than week one, but in a way it did.

Week two, in its own way, was just as crazy and chaotic as week one.

And we will get to this with the new co-host of the six-pack, Tone Diggs from the Pat

McAfee show.

But before we get to Tone and the weekly six-pack, first we're going to tell you about our

guest this week, which just happens to be the former head coach of the Denver Broncos and formerly Washington Redskins.

We can use that name now because when he coached there, that was what the name of the team was.

Mike Shanahan, who is eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, who's somebody that I've known my entire NFL professional

career. Back when I started covering the Denver Broncos in 1990, he was the offensive

coordinator for that team. And he was considered a young up-and-coming coach at the time I watched

him go on to become the offensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers

before he became the head coach of the Denver Broncos and the Washington franchise.

And he has had as the head coach or offensive coordinator a top five NFL offense

14 different years.
