This is the rant, and yes, today's the day.

The NFL trade deadline has officially passed about 20 minutes ago as I sit here and record it.

Wanted to wait. I know some people are like, yo, where's the podcast? Well, I wanted to wait to make sure if any trades went down that were crazy.

I covered all of them on the podcast. And we did

have a few trades. There was a crazy one. At least one crazy one, but it wasn't offensive.

So there's that. But a couple offensive trades. So there is a ripple effect that we can cover

on the podcast here today. I want to actually lead with the two big trades that weren't offensive.

They may have been offensive to Jets fans. Maybe, maybe not. I don't know. But ultimately,

the Jets made two big moves trading away cornerstone pieces of their defense. I was surprised

they ultimately did not get rid of Reese Hall. I thought he was potentially expendable for them, but I guess those folks in the building

But hey, they traded away Quinn and Williams.

They traded away Sauce Gardner.

The sauce one was the big one, though.

Sauce Gardner goes to the Indianapolis Colts, a team that, yes, maybe they are like a corner away from being a super complete roster.

Now in Sauce Gardner, you get a lockdown corner, a corner who you can use in shadow coverage if you choose to. And we did see a little shadow coverage out of the Colts earlier in the season. They really haven't had the horses in the stable to do so throughout the middle part of the season here.
