This is the rant.

And week nine is almost done. It was a wild day of football

yesterday. There were some upsets. There were some games that went essentially as we thought they were

going to go. There was a season-ending injury, of course, for Tucker Kraft. And we'll see if it was a

season-ending injury for Jaden Daniels. Still awaiting MRI results on that one.

The good news, the x-rays were negative, but that's only part of the battle with those types of injuries.

But, hey, like we do on a Monday, let's unpack it all. And I'm going to give you a stat to paint a picture from every single game that went down yesterday.

We'll start with Chicago and Cincinnati.

A barn burner, Cincinnati's defense, I think, forgot to show up to that game and to many of them this season because Chicago was pretty much able to do what they wanted at will,

and that included on the ground.

My number is 283.

That's how many rushing yards the Chicago Bears had. That was the most

rushing yards they've had in a game since they put up 283 against the Dallas Cowboys in 1984

when, yes, Sweetness himself was on that roster. That's saying something right there. It's also

saying something because their starter was not on the field.

DeAndre Swift was out. Seventh rounder Kyle Menangai got his shot and apparently he was ready.

Now, to be fair, this came against an atrocious defense, no doubt about it.
