And the Patriots have done plenty of tampering.

Loading up on defense.

Phil, you've got to fish where the fish are.

You don't have a left tackle.

You don't have a wide receiver.

But you have stalked up a defense that desperately?

Is that the right adverb?

Needed it?

Oh, no question.

They needed help.

They need help everywhere. And I think this is, you know, it's not a benefit because your football team was not good coming into today. But they did have the possibility in front of them coming into tampering day number one to at least be flexible in their spending. Right. And to use that word that Mike Vrable and Elliot Wolf have already used this offseason to pivot.

Okay, you don't get the left tackle that you're hoping for because Ronnie Stanley re-signs in Baltimore.

Maybe you move on, you sign a corner and you give him a little bit more money than maybe you were planning to, okay?

You don't get that receiver that you really wanted and Chris Godwin because, man, he was going

to be such a great fit on the field and off.

Well, now you have a little bit more money to play with to get your game record defensively

in Milton Williams and give him a record contract for your franchise.

So I think those were the pivots.
