Patriots have come out firing during the tampering period.

No tampering involved.

They have gone off the deep end and they're signing guys to the left and to the right.

Phil Perry is alongside on Tom Carrens Patriots Talk podcast, and we're going to get into it in an

emergency session. Phil, I told you'd start on defense, didn't I? Well, well, they started with,

you're not fooling anybody here. John Hussmith, that was the first one that we learned about.

No, learned about it. They had all the other guys lined up. They wanted to start it off by saying, we're going Johnny Smith first

to satiate the hordes who need pass catchers. And then we're going to come back at you with your

Matthew Judon, Jalen Mills, Devon, Godshaw, combo. And while we're at it, we're going to bring back

the wise guy. Yeah, that's right. Dietrich Wise. Joe Tuny is out the door as well. You guys all

know that. Let's get into these

one by one first. But, you know, I do want to ask you this, Phil. The Patriots had $60 million

in cap space. And I said and was told toward the end of January, look, we're expecting

that we're going to be extremely and uncharacteristically

aggressive. They have proven to be that. More aggressive, not just than they usually are, but than any

team usually is. Are the Patriots buying at the top of the market and spending like drunken sailors in an uncommon way

that makes you a little bit don't we usually laugh at teams to do this on the first day of free agency

a little bit but i would say the reason for it is pretty easy to understand.
