Welcome, everyone to the score fantasy football podcast. I'm your host, Justin Boone, the lead fantasy analyst at the score.

Appreciate you joining me today. We're coming to you first thing Friday morning following a really entertaining first round of the draft.

Maybe not as many big splashes as we expected.

Ended up being a little chalky in terms of where and how many skill position players went, with a couple exceptions for sure.

Like the Lions deciding to take Jameer Gibbs in in the top 12 i did not see that coming but

we're going to go over all the notable fantasy picks from round one and i'm going to give you my thoughts on all of them

and then i'm going to run down my favorite players still on the board i think a lot of them are going to go in rounds two and rounds three tonight

at least that's the

hope because when players fall past that when they end up day three or later the odds of them turning

into fantasy stars it really diminishes but let's start with my takeaways from round one i did an

instant analysis post i talked about my early 2023 projections in that i put that up on thursday night so you can check that out over at the score. I probably won't rattle off all the projections today. You can go and find those in the article. But it started off with the Panthers, taking Bryce Young first overall. We knew that was going to happen. A good landing spot for him where he gets to learn under head coach Frank Reich,

a former NFL quarterback himself. And I know the weapons in Carolina, they're not great,

but the offensive line is solid. And at least they tried. They went out this year and they tried

to upgrade the skill positions. They traded away DJ Moore Moore but they signed Miles Sanders they signed

DJ Chark and Adam Thielen and Hayden Hearst at tight end basically they revamped that whole

offensive depth chart in the last few months and now they're going to benefit from having

young under center he is a solid prospect he can bring everything together doesn't have the

elite ceiling of some of the

other guys around the league, but I see a high floor here for him. So he remains a low end

QB2 and fantasy for me. And I think there's a chance that he could really outperform that if

things go well, which they could, thanks to this new coaching staff being in Carolina. The team

is really moving in the right
