Gentlemen, we are, let me see.

We are eight sleeps away from the NFL draft.

Eight sleeps away. It cannot come soon enough. Draft season is too damn long. I know I probably shouldn't say that as an employee of the NFL. It is too damn long. We should have had the draft at least two weeks ago, maybe even more. We have reached silly season. But how are you guys coping? How are you going to get through the next, you know, eight days until we actually do this thing. I think I differ a little bit. I'm like, I wish we had two more weeks of this time.

Yeah, this guy's sick. It's fun. And then when this ends, like, it just, it's dry for a couple of months.

So I wouldn't mind extending draft period a little bit. No. No. Yeah, that's going to be a no for me, Doug. No. Okay, so honestly, I'm going to throw this take out here. I've said it like on social media before. And if the black helicopters come from me and you don't see me ever again, you know why. Drafts are un-American and we should banish them.

Oh, I agree.

That's a different conversation. There you go. It is a different conversation. But drafts are an American and we should banish them. In the meantime, let's preview the draft. We're going to do on this show. Last week we talked about quarterbacks. This week, we will talk about running backs and tight ends. you know, we had Emory Hunt on a couple of weeks ago.

But there are some names out there that I think are interesting. And we'll kind of dive into some of them there and with side ends um i mean there's

really one but we'll try to scrounge up another name or two uh that may be of interest so

we'll dive into that too but let's start with a mock draft that that hit the interwebs uh yesterday

was yesterday or monday It was earlier this week.
