to several days in the life of the South American continent and throughout the New World,

including the Central America, I begin with the Report of Violence, Lima Time, in response

to the removal and arrest of former President Pedro Castillo by the authorities now commanded

by a new president, the former Vice President, Ms. Babilarte. Two teens were killed and

four people injured in Peru during protest on Sunday, demanding the country hold general

elections following the ouster of former President Castillo. President Babilarte was sworn

in last week after Castillo was sacked by Congress. Joseph, I begin with you because you

alerted me to this event almost immediately after it was confirmed out of Lima. What about

these events in these last days? Strikes you with surprising or significant? Could

they have made you, Joseph? Good evening, John. Well, so I think the most important thing

to pay attention to right now with going on in Peru is that the positive side of this

is that there was an attempted coup by the former now former President Pedro Castillo

in dissolving the National Congress of Peru. He basically was an executive coup against

the legislature, attempted coup, that he was unsuccessful at. So that's the good news
