I'm John Bachelors. This is the New World Report with Professor Ebenelis of the U.S. Army

War College. The Northern Triangle said to be the source of many of the migrants early

in the Biden administration. Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador. El Salvador led by a man

who is extremely unusual. Naíb Bukhale, his experiments with Bitcoin have come to a

disappointment. However, the larger story I learned from the professor and from the news

is that Bukhale is leading a roundup of people who appear to be gang members. And the numbers

in his jail have climbed so sharply over these last years that Reuters headline. Several

hundred people in El Salvador took to the streets on this week to protest year-long anti-gang

policies of President Bukhale. Many demanding the release of relatives, they have been unjustly

caught up in the sweeping dragnet. In Capitol Sun Salvador, many chanted freedom for the

innocent. Professor, I have noted in past photographs that come out of the jails in

Sense Salvador and other parts of El Salvador, looking like the gulag in a science fiction

colony. Young men jammed up against each other with their hands holding down their heads

by order in barely clothed in conditions that are, look, as if they're being treated

by no like chicken farms in the Midwest, they're crowded together and abused extremely.

And now this protest in Sense Salvador, Bukhale, what do we make of his tactics to round

up? How many is it in his jails? Professor, I don't have the good number.

China total over 90,000 in prison, but really since his new declaration of the state of emergency

and beginning to to round up gang members, about 65,000 new in turn of it and put in. And

it is important to understand the popularity of the Bukhale phenomenon and really the danger

that it and things like it because it's being copied in places like Honduras presents
