Not an untroubled land, but in any event the headline looks to the future and an interpretation.

Peru's Balarte, that is the president of Peru, the former vice president who inherited this

post when the elected president was jailed for his misdeeds.

President Bilarte will meet China-Shi after Congress okay's late June trip.

Ms. Bilarti has been in trouble with some elements of the Congress

for wearing very expensive watches that don't look

within the reach of her salary.

At the same time, she's going to China.

I mentioned this, a visit to China by one state leader

to another state leader because there is a dispute with investors in China about a port facility that's under

construction in Peru.

Does this indication of Bilarti to she indicate that that's all patched up professor how do you read this?

Well John the broader context is of course a Peru as a nation on the the center of

South America on the Pacific and has long looked to Asia in general

and has long had strong relationships with China.

Although the current Balarti government for its political problems and has been relatively positive

in its relationship with the United States.

But that does not also conceal the fact that there are significant economic projects in political

cooperation going on with China. And so what you see is that what's happening

in terms of some of the underlying things. We talked about the big new port, the 15 birth deep water port

at Changqai that's being built by China Overseas Shipping Corporation.
