We stop in Ecuador because Kito now has an election set and President Lazo, who's one of the

remaining right of Senator President's.

Well, he's a businessman.

He looks for prosperity.

He looks for transparency and security, but that is not happening.

But there's another twist I read from the headlines to Joseph's interpretation.

Spooked by crime, Ecuadorians trained to carry guns for self-defense.

And there's a photograph of a man practicing with a sidearm.

Joseph, this looks to be a deterioration of a culture that was previously in some fashion

buffered from the worst of the narcoterrorism associated with Central America, or has it

always been here?

And the public that can afford it is just decided to buy guns.

Oh, so John, so I actually lived in Ecuador for a year and this is in 2007, 2006 timeframe.

And Ecuador is a beautiful country.

It has pretty much every ecosystem.
