We're looking very carefully right now at the moving story of the once upon a time very dominant string of left-of-center

elections now running into difficulties. One of those difficulties is in Brazil. The Supreme

Court judge, DeMarize, is now the subject of conversation at the White House,

working with one of Bolsonaro's sons to sanction the judge.

Ernesto, I know we've spoken of DeMorice often recently.

What would sanctioning mean to him if the White House goes through with this plan?

To Marize, sanctions would mean probably the Magnitsky Law, which would basically not only

forbid him to come into the U.S., which he was already, he lost his visa, but would make

it impossible for him to have any sort of business relations with any U.S.

based firm, including, for example, Netflix or, well, any credit card company, et cetera.

So it would make life for him a nightmare.

People call it that some sort of financial death.

And also maybe for his relatives and close relatives, close associates, would make it

basically himself, maybe a prisoner of Brazil or countries, totalitarian countries.

So, but this would, of course, have immense political meaning for the whole power system in Brazil

would start to reveal maybe connections if it's not only sanctioned,

but in some way investigated, this could also come in line with lawsuits against him in the West

for trying to censor U.S. companies in the U.S.

So I don't know.
