This is the New World Report. I'm John Batch with my colleagues Joseph Humair, Ernesto

0:08.9

Arrujo, Peru and Ecuador, strikingly similar. Ernesto, I start with you because you observe

0:15.5

these from the 20,000 feet in the air foreign ministry point of view. And I welcome that.

0:21.3

Because right now in Peru, we have a new president who was the vice president, Dean

0:25.4

Obelotti. You know this very well. The former president was removed by the legislature

0:31.8

and he's now charged with betrayal, treason, disorder, awaiting trial. And in Ecuador, we

0:41.6

have a president, a president, Lazo, who is now being challenged by his assembly. Impietzment

0:48.5

is called for to remove him. Although in both instances, they're not exactly parallel,

cases is the the Narcosocialist project for the region. They want to create instability

1:33.5

in Peru and they want to create instability in Ecuador in both cases to drive those countries

1:39.8

squarely into the San Paulo Forum project into the Narcosocialist project. So in Peru,

1:46.9

they use this social turmoil in order to force the president, Belarthe, to call for new

1:53.6

elections and a new constitution that probably the more radical arm of the country or more

2:01.9

radical currents would take over it. So and in Ecuador, there's this sort of center

2:07.2

right president that well doesn't have the project as they would like to. So they want

2:18.1

to create instability for him as well. In every case, it's the same actors that use different

2:24.4

instruments in order to get to power. Joseph, I mentioned these apparently parallel events,
