introduce you to some breaking news. I'm really excited that this happened. I thought it would.

I didn't realize it was going to be in the margins that are as high as they are, but the SBC presidency

race has been won by Willie Rice with almost 60% of the vote, 57.56% to Josh Powell,

who had 42.16%. This is according to Center for Baptist Leadership with a screenshot from the

convention hall. And of course, I have texts from people there and they're telling me what

happened and giving me the

play by play. This is not something that happened within the last day or two, though. This is something

that's been going on for months. There's been momentum building. There's been a coalition forming.

And I want to take you through at least some of the things that I think really contributed to this and why this happened. This is a huge success.

This is something that many of us did not think was possible a few years ago. Why was it possible

this year? Let's get into that a little bit. Excited to get comments from those, especially those who

are at the largest Protestant denomination in the country's annual meeting. And tomorrow, I will be there.

So if you are there and you're listening to me right now, I'm going to get on a flight

tomorrow morning really early and I should be there hopefully by about 1 p.m.

So I'm going to just get there for the afternoon sessions and meetings, kind of as the

whole thing's coming to a close, I suppose,

but I didn't really have any other time I could do it. And I wanted to go this year because I have

never thought we would win, and we as in, conservatives that are polling for the Southern

Baptist Convention to be rescued in fidelity from the leftward drift that it was in

until this year. I really just thought this year was going to be the year. And I started making

videos about it. I think last October was when I started saying, there's an opportunity here,
