One of the things that we often have to ask ourselves is, is how did past decisions

impact where we are today? And we have talked a lot on this show about the way in which people

have had to fa and foe. They've flung around. And now a lot of them are finding out. And what we're

realizing is that the find out is kind of difficult for a lot of people. Usually when we have this conversation, it's the find out for others. Because most of us, the 92%, 78%, we did what we were supposed to do. We showed up the way we were supposed to show up. And we will often pride ourselves on that very thing. And we're excited about that because it also gives us a way of pointing the finger at other people and saying, look at y'all. Y'all could have did this. You could have had better, but you didn't because you're a racist and you didn't like the black lady and you said she cackled too loud and you took snippets of her videos and made three second snippets out of full 90-second things and made entire points about it. Y'all, y'all had a lot to

say. Not y'all. Your cousins. But today we are reminded in today's edition of Black News that

your black ass can definitely use. We have a reminder that it's not just other people who have some

reflection and introspection that they need to engage in. I want you to take a listen to this clip. This is Roland Martin, who was at the Alpha Phi Alpha Convention that took place. It might still be taking place. I'm not sure, but it was at least taking place a few days ago. And that's where this video came from. I want you all to listen to this clip. This is Roland Martin talking about black people who did not come out to vote. The percentages

of black people that did not come out to vote. Not those of us who did. We already know we can

pat ourselves on the back and sit on top of that building in the city surrounded by flames,

sipping tea, even though the flames are approaching the building. But I want you to take a listen

to what we learned later about the actual numbers when it came to voter turnout.

In Georgia, 1,16,000 black people in Georgia did not vote.

Trump won by 115,000 votes.

In North Carolina, 661,000 and black people did not vote.

Trump won by 183,000.

Our silence is literally killing us.
