Welcome to Sky Talkers. Here are your hosts, Charlotte and Caitlin. Hello and welcome to Sky Talkers. I'm your host Charlotte.

0:25.8

Hey everyone. I'm your other host, Caitlin. And welcome to this week's episode where we're talking all about New York Comic Con, which is exciting because I've never been to New York Comic Con. It's the first time I've been up here for this. Charlotte

0:38.3

has been once twice. Once, once. I live quite close. So previously it was like, I'm here.

0:45.6

Yeah. I might as well go, cover the publishing news and then go home. That's kind of what I did,

0:50.8

because I was a little overwhelmed. I went alone. It's a lot. But I did buy last time. Some of you might remember the big purchase that I made at New York Comic-Con was my Empire Strikes Back poster that's in my living room. I posted about it before. It was like my chase. They found it there. And that was like something I did alone at that near Comic Con. Got it back home. Yeah, got it back home. Got it framed. I'm looking at it right now because we're filming. Caitlin and I are together right now recording. It's probably why we sound a little different. I always say that. But because we're in my living room in New York. Looking at the poster in question.

1:27.6

Yes.

1:28.1

The Empire Strikes Back poster looks great.

1:30.7

Yeah, but it was kind of a last minute decision for me to come up here.

1:34.4

I was able to get a badge and, yeah, book the flight like a week out and here we are.

1:41.4

We're here, baby.

1:42.3

And it was really fun.

1:43.6

We didn't get to do the full new york

1:45.9

comic con experience because we were both still working uh which thursday and friday yeah

1:51.5

Thursday and Friday which is always sad but we did do Saturday and Sunday and we stopped by

1:56.0

on Friday too which was fun yeah so we thought it could be fun to kind of talk about our experience. And I think we got to do some really exciting things at New York Comic-Con. And talk through some news, too. Yeah, and talk to. We usually, like, don't do, but it feels relevant. Feels right. Feels apt. Yeah. Feels up our alley. Yes, exactly. So. Yeah. Yeah. So like I said, I came in earlier this week, like late Wednesday night and then we worked Thursday and Friday. But we did go over Friday morning to get our badges before we started work, which I was really glad we did that to kind of get a lay of the land. And we were also able to buy the, I hadn't gotten the

2:34.9

Revenge of the Sith annotated edition yet, which they had for sale early here at New York

2:39.7

Comic Con. So had to go get my copy. So we popped in, got our badges, got the book,

2:45.8

walked around for like 15 minutes. Oh, the exciting thing while we were walking around, like super quick before we had to go back to

2:53.0

work on Friday morning is that they're selling like all of this comic art, right?

2:57.8

It's New York Comic Con.

2:59.8

And they're selling like all these originals and stuff of comic artists.
