0:31.0 | Hear their story on Into the Mix, out now. |
0:35.0 | Okay, what is up everyone? Welcome back to Wayform. We got a bonus episode. This is a little out of schedule, but we felt the need to start bright and early for 2020. |
0:59.0 | So with the start of the new year, the start of the new decade, we'll go ahead and kick out a podcast and talk about it a little bit. |
1:05.0 | So we're your host, I'm Marquez Brownley, and I'm Andrew Banganelli. And we are currently, as you're listening to this, we are already out at CES 2020, bringing you episode two already, like getting really into the nitty-gritty. |
1:17.0 | But we're shooting this. We're in a hotel room with a, you could call it a Jerry rigged setup. |
1:23.0 | Yeah, the setup is, we just have a kind of like a table. And then this is, this is my favorite part. We're traveling right now. And Marquez is reading his script off of an iMac Pro in most of the days. |
1:36.0 | Guilty, but it's not like, I'm not like depending on it. Like he could turn around and I'd like literally any, I'm reading it off of like a 13 inch laptop. And this fair almost seems like overkill. |
1:45.0 | Like I could probably use my phone and you have an iMac Pro. This iMac is lighting up my face in this hotel room, but that's totally fine. |
1:51.0 | It's also great. The soundproofing we have right, the audio might not sound great, because it's not in the best setup in the world, but Vin found this really, furry blanket that we put over the table to help soundproof. |
2:02.0 | And then there's literally a cot standing upright next to me. So I will tweet a photo from the waveform Twitter so you can see the setup. It's fantastic. |
2:10.0 | But this is the, this is the length we go to to bring a bonus episode. Excuse any laps. This is an audio quality if they're any, but let's get right into it. 2020 is, I don't know about you, but a little bit of hype for a new decade of tech. |
2:24.0 | So I just felt like we could talk about what we're expecting for the next couple of years, maybe the next one year, but also the next like 10 years of like really looking forward. |
2:33.0 | Yeah, like kind of in the spirit of CES because we're here. Obviously this is how we start every one of our years, but CES is more of a showcase of what we think is going to come out in the future, let it not so much of like what we're going to see in a couple of months. |
2:46.0 | That's what that's the beauty of it. CES is we start every year. It's always in January, first week or two January. And you head out to Las Vegas, you set up shop, you bring your cameras, you walk into the show floor with 150,000 of your closest friends, and you just get to take in what the company is around us. |
3:02.0 | Think will shape the future for at least the next year and the next little bit and possibly the flu and probably the flu probably some kind of sickness. |
3:12.0 | How should we structure this? What do you want to do? I think we should just call this kind of like this is the waveform CES that you're listening to. It's that during CES waveform CES. |
3:23.0 | So let's make it a tradition that the first episode of every year is a sort of a look forward and look back because you also sort of have to build it off of the past and the tech that's coming from the last year or two. |
3:34.0 | So I think this one's going to be a little more fun because we're at the start of a decade. So I think we should do some let's see what we think is going to come out in the future. |
