Florida State not having to wait very long for its first commitment of this January transfer portal window.

Got the word right after he got into the big rented car that they all have to drive recruits to and fro.

The importance of this commitment for Florida State, Matt Lassayer, what say you?

Depth of the DB room, that was something that's needed, right? With losing guys like Kai Bates and stuff, you know, he is good. I know you're the one who talked to him on the bench. I had to go take pictures of the freshmen coming on the basketball court at halftime of the Duke game. This one moved really, really fast. And it's not really surprised, considering it's a local kid. He probably grew up a Seminoles fan. It's probably not too far-fetched. I don't keep he saying dream come true and all that kind of stuff, which that's what happens with local kids from the panhandle like that when Florida State can get them. And the question is, so is he going to compete with Q for that starting spot, or do we think

he is going to be a good rotational backup? Well, that's just the very question indeed, because

actually a good portion of his interview outside before it started raining cats and dogs was

just what they intended to do with him, Florida State, of course, that being pitching him

as a guy that can line up across

from Gibral Balls as a boundary corner. And he actually spent a good portion of the interview

talking about how he felt like him and Gibral would be a good team as they have similar

skill sets and similar abilities said that the coaching staff pitched him on that and also being

able to approve his tackle ability, something that he specifically mentioned in the interview.

But as you say, very similar language in terms of saying, yeah, I'm a local kid.

I really could have envisioned myself being in the garden of the goal that I'm excited for the

opportunity.

That probably could have given it away right there that he was close to a commitment.

But still a very significant addition for Florida State in terms of its
