We aim to accomplish this mission by creating content (podcasts, written articles, virtual/live conferences, etc.) Leading Saints is not a training organization. We hope the resources at Leading Saints will supplement your leadership development and help you bless the lives of other Latter-day Saint who you lead. What Topics Are Discussed on Leading Saints? You will find a variety of topics discussed through our podcast, online articles, and webinars. The best place to start is to use the website search function or to explore content related to the following callings: Bishopric Stake Leadership Relief Society Elders Quorum Primary Youth Leadership Ward Mission Teaching Leading Saints Podcast We post new podcast episodes 1-2 times a week in which Kurt Francom interviews an author, trainer, or leader (typically with a Latter-day Saint background). 0:00.0	Hey everyone this is the leading Saints podcast my name is Kurt Frankham I'm the executive director and typically I host the podcast now I want to make a quick episode to give you a little background on leading Saints because if you're like me
0:14.5	sometimes I subscribe to a podcast and then it takes me a few episodes to really figure it out and my hope is that you can
0:21.3	see this episode listen to it and get a better idea of what we're trying to accomplish with leading saints.
0:27.0	What is leading saints? Now, if you go back and listen to the history of this podcast, you're going to hear it referred to as leading
0:34.4	LDS from time to time. But obviously, in the October 2018 conference, we were strongly
0:40.2	encouraged to distance ourselves from titles like Mormon and LDS.
0:46.3	So gave us an opportunity to change our name and which we were looking forward to
0:50.4	because we really wanted to develop a brand that would allow us to
0:54.6	stand on our own two feet and that we wouldn't be confused to be connected to
0:59.2	the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints because we are a independent nonprofit
1:05.0	501c3 organization but our mission is connected to serving lay leaders
1:11.1	lay Latter-day Saint leaders in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
1:17.0	And the best way to put it is really to understand our mission, which is we help Latter-day
1:21.1	saint lay leaders be prepared to lead.
1:24.0	Now I'm sure many of you listening to this have had experience in leadership
1:28.0	in the church and you realize that you're asked to lead,
1:31.0	maybe you're given a handbook, encouraging pat on the back and away you go, right?
1:35.5	And it's up to you to figure out some of these leadership skills, tactics, and abilities that not everybody is just born with.
1:42.6	So at leading Saints we strive to put together resources, content, trainings, interviews,
1:48.8	whatever way we can help the lay leadership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints be better prepared to lead,
1:55.8	whether it's topics on addiction, LGBT relations, whether it's topics on how to run a meeting,
2:01.5	public speaking, all of these concepts we strive to cover so
