So I've been noticing this trend on the algorithms where, you know, couples they perform these skits.

You know, skits that potentially would break their relationship contract or make it seem like the other one is cheating.

You know, like one, maybe, you know, the guy gets into the car with a fresh new fade and

his wife will comment on the fade, giving details as if she was an expert on men's

hair.

Ah, baby, you would have looked better if you got the number one B-side cut

with the taper two inches up.

Instantly, the guy looks out her like she must be cheating,

like she must be talking to another man.

How does she know this?

And in the comments section eats it up.

I don't know.

I don't know if everyone's cosplaying,

because I'm like, clearly it's fake.

But these type of videos remind me of the social contracts

we have in our relationships, not just romantic, but all kinds.

In every relationship there's an agreement, sometimes spoken or unspoken, a social contract that frames our relationship, our interactions. Some might feel binding

while others are more fluid with flexibility or unspoken. But these agreements can become one-sided

due to assumptions and a lack of clear communication. Yet the presence of

some kind of agreement is still universal even with ourselves.

We even have a contract with ourselves.

We set goals, we make plans, and in doing so, we are essentially entering into a contract with ourselves.
