Hey everybody Rob Mauer here and today we're going to talk a little bit about Tesla stock.

0:11.8

We also have some interesting information on the

0:13.6

battery packs for the 2021 model year model 3, a Tesla tequila Easter egg and

0:18.4

then I'll give some of my thoughts on the Arcomoto interview that we had at the

0:21.8

end of last week.

0:23.0

Tesla stock today was down 2.6% to close at $410.36 that compared to the NASDAQ down 1.4% on the day.

0:31.0

So I just wanted to briefly talk about this because so far this week we've definitely

0:33.8

seen some sector rotation due to positive coronavirus vaccination trial reports from Pfizer

0:39.8

and bio and tech out of Germany.

0:41.6

So we've seen assets shift over from tech stocks,

0:44.0

0:55.1

on the week compared to the Dow up 3.9% and the S&P 500 kind of in the middle at up 1% so

1:01.1

far. So good and bad these days Tesla is seen more as a technology company and I think the logic here could be that

1:07.2

Tesla's competition is less well prepared to deal with an extended coronavirus situation than Tesla would be, so theoretically a vaccination

1:15.8

may be more helpful to Tesla's competition. Therefore, relatively weakening

1:19.7

Tesla's position, you could make that argument, but it's certainly not one I would agree with.

1:23.6

I think more likely there's just that rotation and Tesla kind of gets caught up in it.

1:27.1

So Tesla this week down 4.6 percent, but these have been low volume days.

1:31.2

Not really anything here to read into in my opinion.
