Courtney Marie Andrews. She's been making music since she was 13 and she was a backing singer and

keyboardist with Jimmy Eatwirl at the age of 18. Her new music is quite different from that

and this song produced by Sam Ebbion that I want to play is called These Are the Good Old Days

and it's all about living in the present. I think in this fast-paced world, it's very easy to

live in a state of trepidation for the future or hurts from the past. Straddling both of those is

most likely going to take you out of the now and I think that I've spent a lot of my life with

my nostalgic goggles on or you know as I say in the song One Foot in the Future, I've realized that

I'm a lot happier when I'm living in the now and not thinking too much about you know the sandwich

of the past and the future and so I really wanted to kind of make a song, a feel-good song about that

while still acknowledging that it's hard and that hurts come up but the end goal is to try and

kind of live in a state of remembering the now which is a long drive been trying to remind myself

of constantly in these times. As far as the music goes for this the amazing Chris Bear from Grizzly

Bear added lots of beautiful textural drums it was one of my favorite drum songs that he did on

the record and one of my favorite things he did was he added some off-key little cowbell

tinklies on the chorus and when we heard that we're like ah that's that's just like this beautiful

little earworm that Sam and I really were surprised and excited about.
