Hi, this is Lord, and you're about to listen to my brand new song, Solar Power.

I started working on the song in the summer of 2019. I wrote it

on a tiny, tiny little keyboard on Martha's Vineyard. I just had an incredible summer day

and wanted to capture that feeling. Then I took it into the city to Jack Antshof studio,

and we slowly started piecing it together. We had Matt Chamberlain Drum on it, which was

such a career highlight for me, and had friends come and sing. I had Phoebe and Claire from the states,

and it started to come together. One of my favorite things about how the song sounds is the

awesome guitars, which are played on a fender Jaguar, a guitar that we discovered in Neil Finn's

studio in Auckland, and quickly became kind of the sonic fingerprint for this album. So that's

kind of the vibe. I hope you love it, like I love it. I hope it gets you excited for summer.
