All J, one of my very favorite bands of the last decade,

have their first new music of this decade.

The spare creative English trio have a new song,

and from what I can make of the lyrics,

it feels like a celebration of a sweet summer memory.

But there's more going on. Here's Singer Jo Newman.

When we began the writing for this album,

we first contacted Lance Reynolds

over at our front of House Engineer. He's sometimes records soundcheck jams.

Often these jams happen organically,

and are far from view between, but over the course of the tour,

you have a good list of potential songs.

So we thought there might be a hidden gem we've forgotten about.

And yeah, we found this wonderful guitar hook

that we were working on in Luxembourg.

So we extracted that and then structured a song around it,

and it took about two days to write.

Lyrically, you and me follows the ever-devolving madness

of one man's trucked up journey at a day festival.

The you and me chorus is in reference to the man,

his drugs, after his friends have left him,
