As of October 20th, 2024, Detective Lieutenant Brian Tully will no longer serve as unit commander of the state Police Detective Unit. New evidence in the Menendez Brothers case might get them resentenced. Roy Rossello, a member of the Menudo, came forward about being sexually assaulted by the Menendez Brothers’ father at their home. Their cousin also wrote a letter stating that he knew about the Menendez Brothers’ abuse before the first trial that didn’t come into evidence on the second trial. 0:00.0	Welcome back to this week's episode of the Emily show. Today we have quite a lot going on in the law to talk about while the Sarah Boone trial is speeding right along and by the time this podcast drops, she will probably have already taken the stand in her own defense,

0:32.4	from some of the trials we've covered and some of those are trials we're going to talk about today like the Karen Reed case.
0:38.0	There are some updates in the Karen Reed case, the ECLU, filed an amicus brief. We have rehombed one of the detectives and more.
0:46.9	Then we also need to talk about updates in the Menendez Brothers case because

0:54.6	Los Angeles in front of that downtown LA courthouse that I am so well familiar with and the
0:59.6	DA's statements about it. The office has put out a official press release again. You know,
1:07.0	elections are coming so I'm not surprised we're hearing quite a lot about it from
1:11.7	the current DA right now, and there is a lot of new
1:18.0	Diddy News. I am not going to be getting into all of the new Diddy news. There was a swath of new lawsuits filed Sunday night.
1:26.4	There's also some new motions in court that we need to talk about and what's going on
1:31.1	with those. So we have a lot.
