As some of you may know, I am a former public school teacher, and over the past few months,

I've actually done a deep dive of research into the ideological subversion of America's schools.

And I don't want to discourage you, but just know that

the tentacles of subversion are so much deeper and broader than almost anyone realizes. And one of

the most effective tactics and one that would be familiar to survivors of every socialist

revolution the world over is the erasure and diminishment of national heroes. If you can alienate

children from their heritage and make them forget or even hate the shoulders that they stand on,

you can create a generation of destructive foot soldiers who will be willing to burn down everything

we've worked hard to build. I don't want to sugarcoat it. We are way up a creek right now,

and the antidote is going to be extremely complex.

But there is one thing that everyone can do. And that is to learn about American heroes and to help keep their legacy alive.

And better yet, take that extra step to talk about them with your kids.

This past year, we've all learned that we can't count on the schools to

transmit our heritage, and we're going to have to carry that torch ourselves as citizens.

One such man was Ernest E. Evans, a World War II naval officer who fought in the Battle of Samar. In the battle, a U.S. naval task unit was ambushed by a large Japanese fleet of 23 ships,

hell-bent on destroying the American Navy.

Though almost completely unprepared, Evans and his men managed to attack the Japanese forces

in one of the greatest last stands in naval history, and in the face of almost certain death.
