It may seem incredible to say this, but we're going to have to rethink everything about a five-and-one NFL football team that won the Super Bowl last year.

That's right.

We have to rethink the Kansas City Chiefs. And I mean

this in a good way. This is a positive thing. There are many ways to win Super Bowls and win

championships. The most tried and true through the years over the decades since the beginning of

the Super Bowl era is to have a great defense. We've seen it

over and over and over. Most of Tom Brady's Super Bowl wins were with great defensive football

teams. He won low-scoring games. It was a simple game plan. The Patriots would play.

They wouldn't turn it over. They'd eventually make a big defensive play.

Or at the end, Tom Brady would drive his team down and win a game.

He didn't have to put 40 on the board.

Patrick Mahomes has proven everything he has to prove about big yardage, high-scoring offense,

giant plays, chunk plays, explosive football.

And this year, we're having to rethink things a little bit.

As we watch the Chiefs go through a bunch of goofy short-yardage plays,

it's very clear they have zero confidence in being able to run the football to get a first down.

They had a third and two inside the 10-yard line,

and the Chiefs decided to run a pass play where Mahomes rolls out,

and he just fires it out of bounds because nothing's open.
