| 0:12.0 | Lots of launches. A lot of new toys. So many new toys. Yeah, today when we're recording this is the day |
| 0:16.9 | that Sram and Rock Shocks components came out, specialized as a new e-bike. They also have this new drive trains. There's just so many things. New Mondraker. Yeah, there's a lot. I think we're getting into that time of the year when every week has a day like this. Yeah, exactly. Maybe not quite like this, but busy, you know. Yeah, we're only two months away, a little more than two months away from Sea Otter, and that's kind of like the unofficial kickoff of the summer product cycle. But right now, you know, companies are trying to get everybody excited for riding season and, you know, get people stoked. So yeah, lots of new things to talk about. But first, we should start, I don't even know where we should start. We could start with, let's start with Maven breaks, since everyone loves to talk about breaks. And it's so funny. I do like it. I like to talk about breaks, too, but it is funny how opinion people, opinionated people can get. And you can talk to two different people, and they can have just so, their opinions can be so different that it |
| 1:10.9 | doesn't, it almost doesn't make sense. Like, wait, how do you think the same, I don't even know how to |
| 1:14.5 | describe the, it's one of the rare opportunities for people's opinions on physical reality to be |
| 1:21.5 | drastically different to the point where it's almost like they're experiencing different physics. |
| 1:26.0 | Like, yeah, yeah, exactly. I know that sounds like a grandiose statement, but it feels that way. Or you're like, I don't understand how you feel the things you're feeling, but if it works, it works. Yeah, exactly. Everyone has different breaking styles, and that's kind of what it is. I think it's not like, shifting is pretty binary. You know, shifting either there is smooth and amazing or not smooth and amazing. |
| 1:46.8 | You kind of like, there's only certain number of ways you can shift. |
| 1:49.5 | But with breaking, you know, some people are brake, draggers like myself, I kind of drag break a |
| 1:53.7 | little bit more than having an on off type thing. And other people maybe have really bad breaking |
| 1:59.7 | habits where they're just doing weird |
| 2:01.0 | things because there's no real as long as it's working for you there's not a right way i mean |
| 2:04.7 | was this right ryan pinkerton breaks with his middle finger still he's one of the fastest riders |
| 2:09.0 | in the world so it's kind of like a there's a big range of what people want even the amount of power |
| 2:12.9 | people want and all that is very different so but the main maiden. It's also something you need to like, uh, |
| 2:21.1 | sort of react to like your brain has to turn on and you have to physically do other things |
| 2:25.8 | with your body, with your hands to, |
| 2:27.6 | to make your bike stop. |
